Post it notes: A scientist named Dr. Spencer Silver was working to develop an incredibly strong adhesive in by accident he created the opposite — an incredibly weak adhesive. That now is used to make notepads that we commonly know.

Play-Doh: It was first invented as a cleaning product for wallpapers. It was Invented by soap company Kutol Products, using water, salt and flour; they used this malleable product to clean wallpaper. Suddenly, they noticed that this product may be used as a kid toy to create figures.
